In the U.S., multiracial Americans make up about 2.4% of the population as of 2000 according to Wikipedia. Of course the number is higher than that now, but I had something else to do after I looked up that initial figure so that's the one we're going with. Only since 1967, when the Supreme Court ruled in the case of Loving v. Virginia (yes that was the actual name of the case), has interracial marriage been fully legal in the U.S. Crazy isn't it? So it hasn't been that long since your prejudiced parents passed their prejudice onto your innocent mind and corrupted you since the day of your birth.
It seems that nothing is more polarizing in the interracial world of dating then black and white couples. You KNOW you have heard the not so nice comments made and probably made some yourself. I always thought it was funny how interracial couples get stared at when they are out together. You would think that wherever they go that they could charge admission for the traveling zoo that they create. The gasps. The shock and awe. (Thanks George Bush, I love that term). The anger. "How dare that white woman be with that black man!" Or that black man be with that white woman! Or that black woman that used to be a white man be with that white man! "Dammit all to hell!" Personally, I, Dr. Cel, do not care what someone's dating preferences are. If you like to 'mix it up' go for it and don't let anyone stand in your way. Tell us how you feel in the comments section below.
I honestly dont care what color she is. If she looks good, she looks good. And i'll have plenty tarzan lookin babies w/ her. My mom would most likely approve cuz she's just open minded like that. As long ur happy, color doesnt matter.

Now Dr. Cel.. Did u really have to hit the people with all that when we're just trying to reel them in??!!?? Ya'll will have to excuse him.. once he starts... well lets say it might NEVER end.
ReplyDeleteNow about the subject at hand... I personally think interracial dating is the norm. Hell, White men been feenin for dark meet since Moses parted the Red Sea. And because of these antics, black men just have to have that token white girl on they're hip.. Ask Tiger, he'll show you how to pick em'. But in all seriousness, I believe that you shouldn't choose the person you date because of their race. I know everyone has their preference. Whether its Latin, Asian, White, Black, long hair, short hair, "phat" ass, pancake booty, A cups to FFF cups, etc.. The things that matter the most in a relationship get put on the back burner or get voided out completely for the superficial. A person's smile, personality, sense of humor, intelligence, determination, etc, are what should keep someone interested. And those thing don't have a color. Breaking the color barrier is normal because of everyone's different preferences. Yes, sometimes you can find the things your looking for within your same color spectrum, but the majority of people look for diversity. Or have at least tested the waters.
Dr. Dee Cuptz, the people needed a little background so I gave them some. Shouldn't you be operating on someone or cooking? The way I see it, lust has no color.
ReplyDeleteNice website.. and i agree with Dr.Dee Cuptz.White guys tend to go after black girls, black girls tend to go for white guys same thing for the black guys they go for the white girls!! I think that everybody should date anyone as long as the other treats them with respect. RESPECT is to the key to any type of relationship, not the color of their skin!!!!
ReplyDeleteFeeling the site. And color doesn't matter!
ReplyDelete@itsOneO.com- Tarzan looking babies..lmao! But i agree, happiness is definitely color blind. You find it where you find it.
ReplyDelete@Dr. Cel- Lust has no color, huh? I thought this was about "relationships and marriages", not lusting.. we know where your mind went to..lol. And I'm not scheduled for surgery until tomorrow and it was your turn to cook, remember? You probably forgot with all that LUST on the brain.
@Anonymous 1- Respect is a very important key. It side by side with trust and communication.
Like I said, lust has no color. This is about relationships and marriage and the lust that surrounds those things. I don't take turns cooking. That's what different women are for. Readers, please do not take this to mean that I am a womanizer. I just have great 'friends'.
ReplyDeleteOK, first off im gonna throw myself under the bus for my first post and i dont care. There are a lot of black women that are closed minded to this issue. The majority of the time they come with the same tired excuse: they're aren't enough good black men as it is. You know what ladies maybe your right, but for once i want u to consider the following: mans(all genders) purpose in life is to find happiness before they die. If I as a African-American want to be happy and feel that a woman could do so why would I as such man filter out potentially good women just because there not my race. That doesn't make sense. I love all women any race can get it. But i must say i love my sistas the most....lol i simped out at the end!
ReplyDeleteWell said Dr. Reason.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time seeing myself ending up with anyone other than a black woman. But if a Becky, Soon Yi, or Abella comes along and she's UNDENIABLE...she's getting wifed. End of story.
