Yes, i feel as i accomplished something. I read the majority of that...The article features the top 8 reasons to date a white guy. I seen this article earlier this week and have done a good job avoiding exactly what i expected from it. Thanks to DR Cel I faced everything i knew i would.
ReplyDeleteFor one I'm not going to go down the list, but speak about the work as a whole. I believe it to be a generalization and mostly a stereotype. But the sad thing about stereotypes is that theres truth to them. So...with that being said there are some truth to this. If it upsets you then your most likely just a little more sensitive then what you should be. But lets face it, everything on that list you could see in one of your friends. Its sad. But a reality nonetheless.
Now i never shunned interracial dating, and if a white man wants to date a black women fine with me. And vice versa.
True. I thought the rebuttals on there were pretty good also. There is a lot of messed up sh*t going on no matter the race.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the initial articles points were too general..Just like Dr. Reason said, some of it may apply to some men, but the negatives happen in all racial groups. When you look at data numbers, polls, and the like you also have to realize that we are the minority!!! So I numbers though they may seem large, in comparison to our racial counterparts( White folks) The statistics and stereo types look horrid.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that the black family is in great trouble and has been for along time, but its up to our generation to fix it. I love my brothers, because you are a part of who I am , and as a woman, I might fuss at you but not fight against who you are , and who you will become. Something our mothers should do ( If a man , has never had a mother or father who can lift him up spiritually, and Mentally and all those great things, how can he succeed?)
